PC Pitstop posted an article yesterday about Zombie Virus attacks on smart phones. Allowing Premium Texting on your smart phone could allow a virus to come in and drain your wallet, simply by viewing text messages. The article mentions three things that you should do to avoid this infection on your phone:

1. Contact your carrier and find how to block nuisance messages. Each carrier will be able to assist you.
2. Do not reply to unknown texts or phone calls.
3. Report all suspicious activity to your carrier.

The first comment on the article said that "she got a $9.99 charge for a text message she opened." On top of that, "the Verizon rep said it was quite common."  :o
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)
