Back to School
« on: January 12, 2010, 08:57:03 »
The spring semester began yesterday. This should be my last semester before getting my AS degree in Computer Programming & Analysis. My wife also decided to take classes this semester, since she gets two classes paid for through her work - except, they didn't give much time at all to choose classes and she had to pay the difference between what the regular classes and the online classes, since the school charges more for the "convenience" of taking them online.

I'm currently taking Introduction to Project Management and Web Scripting CGI/PERL & JavaScript. The first day went pretty well. This semester I'm taking 4 express classes, which are 8-weeks long rather than 16-weeks, but I've got them staggered so that it's 2 classes per 8 week period. This allows the work load to be similar to what it normally would be, but allows more time to focus on an individual class during each week rather than splitting study time 4 ways.

In addition to those classes, I do have some ELP work to skip over some basic web dev classes. Hopefully that won't be a big deal, but I'll be required to do the Final Project for CGS1822 - Website Essentials. ... And hopefully there won't be anything else in the way of me graduating at the end of this semester!   :D

Thanks guys. The first week of class went pretty well. I like the instructors that I've got for this first session of the semester. Both seem to be intelligent guys with good sense of humor.
