January 10th, 2010 - All Day Game Day in Clearwater!

So...is everyone good with January 10th for the next all day, Clearwater Game Day?

After complete silence for what was long enough for her to forget that I'd even asked a question about next week, I reminded my wife that I had just asked her about going out on Thursday night. More silence followed, then my wife finally, hesitantly said, "Ok. I guess."

I then mentioned the potential event for January, but that was followed by more silence. Then she said, "Why do you guys have to plan stuff so far ahead?" I told her that people like to make plans, and some people even need to make plans. Despite the explanation, I only got more silence and then she changed the subject. I haven't gotten any answer about January yet. My best guess is that January 10th will be the best day to attempt something.

I envision the day that Nathaniel comes home and everything in the house is in boxes.  That Beth just decided to move that morning, and the moving truck is pulling into the driveway.

If us having a plan is her problem, then it doesn't sound like a problem.   Just tell her Saturday morning that you're leaving for a while.  When she asks where you're going, just tell her that you haven't planned that far ahead.  See how she feels about planning things after that.

And yes, the 10th sounds great.

Although, I'll probably bring along my D&D stuff like last time. We're really hit or miss on playing each week.

I should be there on time or early. I will be taking my cousin to the Tampa airport. Her plane leaves at 8am, so I should be out of there before that. I'll probably grab some breakfast close to Wyldwing's place.

Sorry Dragon, we won't be able to car pool this time. I'll probably be leaving around 5:30am to get her there two hours prior to her flight.

This will be the closest I've ever planned two subsequent games days so close together.  I reminded Wendy of it yesterday and she had forgotten...luckily, she didn't have to change any of her plans to accomodate this.   

So...we'll have me, Dragon, Chris, Chris, Mac, Alli all day.  That's 6 all day.  We'll likely have Kamryn for much of the day and Wendy for a couple hours midday.  So we will likely get Wits and Wagers in, so, Dragon, please bring that.  Chris, would you be so kind as to bring Power Grid? 

I see a time period where we'll be breaking off into two groups as 8 is quite large.  4 and 4 would be awesome.  Wendy will want to play Ticket to Ride, Dominion, Pandemic?, liar's dice or Settlers.  So maybe, for part of the day, we let Kamryn and Wendy teach Alli a few of those...?

Should be a GREAT TIME!!!  Bring money to chip in for pizza.  Mac..you have me covered...right?    And I'm looking forward to seeing you all!!
