I recently ordered Ogre: Pocket Edition, but I watched this Unboxing of the Designer's Edition tonight on http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/products/ogre6e/ ... The Designer's Edition of the game is HUGE! The table in this image is approximately 4ft by 15ft and is covered with counter sheets and other stuff from Ogre: Designer's Edition.
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)

So far, I've played Ogre (Pocket Edition) twice with Isaac. The first time I played as the Ogre and got a victory and the second time we reversed roles and Isaac got a victory as the Ogre. I think both were fairly close games, but our defensive strategy is definitely lacking since the Ogre had most of it's tread and multiple weapons still functional after each game. We'll see how it goes in the future. The Pocket Edition has been a fun game, with a war game feel but not too complicated, and short enough to play within an hour or so even as we're still getting things figured out. At $2.95, I think it would be a very economical trial run for someone who might hasn't played many but might be interest in war gaming.
