As I posted on another thread.  I am serving as a juror in a first degree murder trial   :o.  Thus I will be at the courtroom late ALL WEEK.  We're hoping to finish up the case by Friday...but maybe not.  I'll keep you posted as to my ability to game!

Have you tried taking any games in with you?  My last jury duty, I took my travel edition Settlers.  Actually got a few games in during some of the longer recesses.

I'll be home by 6pm and look forward to seeing two of you then?
I don't have many games, so feel free to bring some with you.

See you then.

I have jury duty 11/23. I usually bring my DS along to keep me occupied, and a book in case the games get boring.

Quick directions, in case anyone needs them.
US to F Dr.
Go east to the first street, El Ave, turn right.
My place is on the right,
You can park in the street right in front of my house, or in the driveway.

Unnamable came over last night. He was waiting in the driveway when I got home from work, sorry about that. I got home at 6:01pm, or thereabouts.
We settled in for a game of Magic, since neither of us have any games to speak of.

He started with a Sliver deck that I thought was a preconstruct. After playing, and winning, we both agreed that it was not a preconstruct, just too many powerful cards, and a tell tale hint of earlier sets mixed in. His one sliver allowed him to choose one color they were protected from, I had a one color black deck, so that finished me.

The second round was won by me with a black/white cleric deck. I was able to sacrifice clerics and do damage to him. For a while there it was really close, I had him down to 8 life, he whittled me down to 8 as well. Then I got +8 health boost and was able to sacrifice 8 toughness worth of clerics to do him in.

And for our finale, I was able to overrun him with a mass of serpents. A lure enchantment forced all his blockers to focus on one serpent, while my +12/+12 serpent token was allowed to get through.

We sat and talked for a bit afterwards. We both agreed we would like to get some games for ourselves. Wyldwing, I hear your going to order some games, have you done so yet?
I'm planning on going to his house to play Hero Scape Friday, if work doesn't soak up all my free time Friday.

Sounds cool. Thanks for taking the time to post this.

I haven't played HeroScape in a long time. Are you taking your set(s), or are you just playing with what he has there?

He mentioned having the core set, a bridge expansion set, along with some expansion sets. He says he has it set up all the time, can't find anyone to play. I suggested we use only his set to avoid confusion, and we plan on doing that tomorrow after 6pm.
I'll let you know how it goes.

If you're using the set you bought from me, I put stickers under the base of most of the figures.

We're using his sets, he keeps them set up on a table he can move out of the way when not used. He has no kids or pets that will mess with the pieces once set up and moved to a corner, unlike most of us.

Okay, I destinctly heard Chris say something about another game session earlier in the month than the 27th... it got lost in the shuffle of posts about the funagain order, but I'd like to bring that back to the table.

Anytime after the 20th should be ok for me to attend, at least an evening session.

I'm up for whatever. I am even willing to play some Magic again or Heroscape.
I'm available quite a bit of the time, I'm off this weekend starting today. I have Friday thru Tuesday off this weekend. I do have plans some of the days, however, I'm willing to try and work something out.
