Nice score! This was the first car I ever converted to a hobby car and its awesome after. I am about to take one of mine and turn it to a hobby car.

Sweet! What all can be done to convert? I have a Losi Mini T just sitting around, can any of these parts go into this bad boy? (just curious) Thanks!

You can use the mini t radio and speed control. But you can't run more than 7.2v on this truck because its weight will over heat the esc as is it. Best to run any 1/10 speed control and any 1/10 servo will drop right in. It's a really easy conversion and really fun.

Here's the combo I'm gonna run:

Vxl-3s speed control
Traxxas 2056 servo
Fm radio
Vxl brushless motor
7.4v lipo

The gearing in the truck is kinda short but with that combo it will roast the tires all the way past 30mph+

Yes this was the only version of the scorpion with a 540.

The scorpion II had a yellow body and III had a red body, identical trucks with a 380 motor
